Braids

Is it just me or does it seem like an eternity ago that Braids gave the world Native Speaker?  I mean, I suppose two years is a fairly long time, but I really thought it came out in 2009 or 2010.  In any case, the Montreal-based act is back.  On June 11 they’ll release the In Kind/Amends 12″ (it will also feature two b-sides), and then at some point in the fall a full length will arrive.  Both will be put out in the US by Arbutus.  Enjoy.

:Braids – Amends:  This track keeps devouring my time in six minute increments.  Hopefully soon I’ll stop finding it to be such an immersive and ear pleasing effort, and then I’ll be able to take it off repeat.  Protip, toss on headphones for maximum time loss.
